Rio Secreto is a semi-flooded cave with stalagmites and stalactites that appear made from preciouos stones. Over a process of thousands of years as water was slowly filtrated through the roof, the rocks were slowly transformed into the magnificent formations that are there for us today. This underwater paradise can be found just 10km south of Playa del Carmen and although there is 10km of cave systerm discovered so far, only 1.5km are opne to the public.
