Akumal

Akumal means "place of the turtles" in the Mayan language. The fine white sandy beaches at Akumal Bay and Half Moon Bay are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Sea turtles can be found in Akumal laying eggs on the beaches at night throughout the nesting season (end of April to October) or swimming in the main bay during the day.

Playa del Carmen

Playa del Carmen or just Playa, as the locals call it, has become a very infamous holiday destination and for a very good reason, the lively town has everything for a exciting vacation!! The gorgeous beaches are packed with beach bars and great music, 5th avenue offers spectacular shopping, and you can't miss the unbelievable night life and its all in one town.
