Hotel La Tortuga is proud to offer one of Playa del Carmen's finest International Cuisine. Excellent food and a laid-back atmosphere have made El Bistró one of the most popular restaurants in town, both with visitors and locals. Opening hours: 7:00 am - 11:00 pm

El Bistró 5th Avenue
If you want to join the action on 5th Avenue El Bistro has another location along the main drag where you gcan get mouth-watering appettizers, succulent main dishes and fabulous wine.  Guests at the hotel will enjoy a generous discount at the restuarant.

Beach Club:
Mamita's: The best beach Club in Playa del Carmen. Lounge chairs & Shades at the Beach club are included, 10 minutes walking distance
Zenzi: downtown, discounts for our guests.
Blucacao: exclusive Beach Club, gourmet cuisine, 5 km north of Playa.

The Superior Junior Suites are the most luxurious rooms at La Tortuga. 

There are 7 lovely Superior Junior Suites nestled in the most enchanting areas of the hotel. These spacious rooms still keep the same authentic Caribbean Flavor that characterizes La Tortuga Hotel & Spa, but with a modern flair to them. Each of them has a private Jacuzzi, either in the room or on your own private terrace and Spring Air king sized bed.

Junior Suites still luxurious

Each of the 10 quality Junior Suites varies both in setting and size. Each of them has a private Jacuzzi, either in the bathroom or on your own private terrace.

  • 4 rooms with king-sized bed, a Jacuzzi on the rooftop terrace, and sitting area. 3rd floor rooms.
  • 1 room with two queen-sized beds, a Jacuzzi on the rooftop terrace, and sitting area. 3rd floor room.
  • 2 large rooms on 2 levels, 2 queen-sized beds, a rooftop Jacuzzi, and sitting area. This is the perfect option for more than 2 guests. 3rd floor room.
  • 1 room with king-sized bed and a Jacuzzi in the bathroom
  • 2 rooms with king-sized bed and a Jacuzzi on the balcony

Each of our Superior and Junior Suites has flat screen TVs, bathrobes and slippers, iron and ironing board, ipod station.

Swim-Up Rooms

Enjoy one of our ground floor swim-up rooms, where you can take a refreshing plunge into the pool directly from your balcony!

There are 5 swim-up rooms, four of which come with 1 king-sized bed, and one which comes with 2 queen-sized beds.

Standard Rooms

All the comfort you expect in the 12 standard rooms, at more affordable rates, while still withstanding our boutique hotel quality. These rooms come with a variety of bed combinations - 1 king, two queen, one queen, 1 queen and 1 individual, or twin beds  and 4 rooms come with a balcony.  Those guests staying in rooms without a balcony are very welcome to enjoy a drink or simply read a book in our common leisure area just outside the standard rooms.

Standard Plus Rooms at La Hotel Tortuga and Spa

All our Standard Plus rooms are spacious and decorated with a tasteful Caribbean flair. Maximum occupancy for rooms with king-sized beds is 2 people; maximum occupancy for rooms with two queen-sized beds is 4 people.
