Playa del Carmen

Playa del Carmen or just Playa, as the locals call it, has become a very infamous holiday destination and for a very good reason, the lively town has everything for a exciting vacation!! Playa started as a small fishing village with some of the only bars and nightlife along the coast.. before it was called the Riviera Maya. Its awesome location attracted travelers seeking more adventure and something different from the over- built touristy Cancun. 5th Avenue was only a couple of blocks long and as more and more travelers started settling here it quickly grew with new shops and restaurants springing up daily. It's popularity kept growing and it soon became the fastest growing city in the world.
